Graphic Design trends for 2024 here we go! With the constant evolution that graphic design undergoes, we expect that in the coming year, trends will be more creative and exciting than ever (unlike the last season of Pokémon Journeys). Just like Pokémon and their good seasons, each trend has its own personality and unique abilities.

Now, find your favorite Pokémon and let’s depart from Pallet Town to explore next year’s design trends!

Graphic Design Trends of 2024

Twisted Fonts

Remember Ditto? It could change its shape and become any Pokémon it wanted to be. Well, the same goes for twisted fonts, a graphic design trend that uses letters with unusual and twisted shapes.

Geometric Shapes

Geometric shapes are a graphic design trend that uses simple shapes like circles, squares, and triangles, just like Starmie. They are as strong and resilient as Water-type Pokémon.

Candy Colors

Don’t sweeten up, but make room for sugary colors in your color palette. It’s like taking us to the fairyland, away from the unbearable pain of existence, right? Just like Togepi, they will fill your designs with joy and optimism. So don’t hesitate to use them when needed.

Bright Colors

Could we possibly forget the god of the skies from the Johto region? NO! This year, colors may be very sweet, but if you know how to use them well, your designs can achieve a vibrant and brilliant personality like Ho-Oh, allowing you to create sensational and vibrant designs.

Organic Textures

Think of Bulbasaur’s natural, leafy look – these textures can range from marble swirls to wooden grains, adding a touch of the real world to digital designs. They bring a sense of warmth and tangibility, reminding us of the tactile world in an increasingly digital landscape.

Minimalist Maximalism

It involves using minimalist principles – clean lines, ample white space, and restrained color palettes – but in a maximalist way. This means bold, impactful compositions that make a statement with less. It’s about finding that perfect balance, much like Mew’s ability to maintain harmony. In 2024, expect to see designs that master the art of ‘less is more’ but with a twist that makes them ‘more than enough.’

These are just a few of the trends we can expect to see in the upcoming season of Graphic Design.

Don’t be afraid to take risks! If Ash took 1080 episodes, 7 regions, 21 seasons, 22 years, and finally won his first Pokémon League trophy, why can’t you create a trendy design that catches attention?

Just like a Pokémon trainer, a graphic designer must adapt, learn, and evolve to stay ahead in the game.  Gotta catch em all!
