The journey to the future is already reaching its destination. Xiaomi is one of the great organizations working on technologies that bring us closer and closer to what has seemed unreachable.

Some days ago, Xiaomi presented the first humanoid capable of feeling called CyberOne, which expands its frontiers and named the first life-size humanoid robot.

The CyberOne is the humanoid that follows the Cyberdog presented last year. But this time, the advances go further and Xiaomi Robotics already presents a biped prototype, equipped with upper and lower limbs, capable of maintaining balance.

In addition, one of the surprises of this is that it has the ability to detect human emotions. Also has other technologies that allow it to have advanced vision and a function that allows it to reconstruct three-dimensional virtuals of the real world.

“We have invested heavily in research and development covering various areas, including software, hardware and algorithm innovation” said Lei Jun, CEO of the company.

Characteristics of the CyberOne

The CyberOne is 1.77 meters tall and weighs 52 kilograms. This humanoid has a real-time response speed of 0.5 ms per degree of freedom, which allows it to fully mimic human movements.

In addition, the CyberOne consists of a more complicated mechanical complex and has more powerful motors, unlike the Cyberdog.

Therefore, the humanoid is able to walk naturally and carry up to one and a half kilograms of weight with just one hand.

“With AI at its core and a full-size humanoid body as a vessel, this is an exploration of the possibilities of Xiaomi’s future technology ecosystem and a new breakthrough for the company,” Lei Jun makes clear.

The CyberOne is undoubtedly a demonstration of the destiny that all technological organizations wish to achieve, this represents a milestone for Xiaomi and a challenge for other companies that wish to label themselves as the best.

Intelligent robots are already a fact and you, what do you expect from robotics in the coming years?
