The Internet has evolved over the years and this evolutionary process has become different for each individual. There is no doubt that there is a great difference between the generation of our grandparents, who lived a part of their lives without television or radio, and that of young people grown up in the middle of the technological era. Each generation has its own lifestyle, they have different values, different interests and tastes that influence the way they surf the Internet.

Let’s start with the Baby Boomers (born between 1930-1960): They were already older when in 1990 the Internet became popular, and although they understood how useful it could be, they have little inclination to interact or be part of social networks, hence they are not part of Internet 2.0.

Then there is Generation X (born between 1960-1988): They were young adults who did change their lives a bit, but they broke the mold and immediately became involved in this new technological world.

The third generation is the one of the famous “Millennials” (born between 1988-2000), who have been growing with the internet. Nowadays they are the main users of this resource, they make purchases, they investigate, they inform themselves, they have fun and they even look for couples online.

And finally…

The Generation Z (born from 2000 until now): The Internet already existed when they were born, so the development of their intellect is conditioned by the audiovisual and interactive information to which they have been exposed since childhood. Your brain works a little differently, and for them, the Internet is the best way to get knowledge, fun, entertainment and friends.

And you, to which generation do you belong?
