Meta presents an AI supercomputer called the Al Research SuperCluster (RSC). A supercomputer that will be considered the fastest in the world.

The next technological generations will require the ability to perform powerful tasks per second. That is why Meta is preparing to present the SuplerCluster in mid-2022.

The Research SuperCluster will aim to create new models of artificial intelligence, with the ability to learn infinite examples, among which are: work in different types of languages, text analysis, and also the development of augmented reality, among others many other tasks.

Likewise, the Meta blog expresses in a publication that: “Our researchers will be able to train the largest models necessary to develop advanced AI for computer vision, NLP, voice recognition, and more. We hope RSC will help us build entirely new AI systems that can, for example, power real-time voice translations for large groups of people, each speaking a different language, so they can seamlessly collaborate on a research project or play an augmented reality game together.”

Another of the great promises of the Research SuperCluster is to be able to develop the technological tasks for the “Metaverse”. Such as the applications that are promoted through the development of artificial intelligence.

Research SuperCluster, a palpable challenge…

The development of CSR is not only about a large-scale challenge, but also large-scale performance. That is why it will have the most advanced technology that can be known today.

In the blog post he also states: “When RSC is complete, the InfiniBand network fabric will connect 16,000 GPUs as endpoints, making it one of the largest such networks deployed to date. Additionally, we designed a storage and caching system that can deliver 16TB/s of training data and plan to scale up to 1 exabyte.”

Without a doubt, this announcement is a step forward for the computing promise, which will allow users to create new experiences through artificial intelligence.
