A few articles ago, we talked about Xiaomi’s humanoid robot, but a few days ago Elon Musk surprised with the new prototype of the humanoid called Optimus that is being developed in his company ‘Tesla’.

In this sense Optimus was presented at an event in Silicon Valley where it performed simple daily tasks such as: watering plants or carrying and lifting boxes and metals. This means that humanoid robots could be much more present in our daily lives than we imagine.

Musk made it clear that Optimus is a prototype that will have to go through different stages and testing periods to bring to market this robot, which aims to be sold massively within a few years.

The mass production of Optimus could be available within three to five years, where it will have a value of less than USD $20,000, this is undoubtedly a big step towards the transformation of civilization as we know it today.

Other humanoid prototypes…

It is no secret that the big companies working in artificial intelligence are developing their prototypes for the race to be the best.

Others like Toyota, Xiaomi and even Honda, are developing their own humanoid robots, Xiaomi already presented the Cyberone a few months ago and now, Optimus gives the face to be the companion of daily life.

It is worth pointing out that unlike other prototypes, Optimus is being developed to be accessible to the masses and also capable of performing factory jobs, which could mean the end of human talent.

Undoubtedly, this will not be the only humanoid we will see in the coming years, as it will be increasingly common to see robots worldwide.

Who will win the battle? We will see, we just have to wait for the new prototypes and improvements that robots bring.
